The year had just begun, and before the excitement of the New Year could even settle, RCVians found another beautiful reason to celebrate together. Our Lohri and Makar Sankranti celebration wasn’t just an event on the calendar; it was a reminder of what makes our workplace special: people, culture, and shared joy.
From the moment the music started, it was clear that this was going to be one of those days everyone would remember.
As the office filled with festive energy, the spirit of Lohri took over. Smiles were everywhere, conversations got louder, and work desks slowly turned into celebration corners.
And then the Punjabi vibes truly hit:
“Jado ve aandi hai Lohri, bada jee laaundi hai Lohri.”
Everyone clapped, tapped their feet, and joined in the chorus. The energy was infectious; laughter, dance, and claps filled the room. Someone even playfully added,
In that moment, it felt like true Lohri magic; warmth, music, and togetherness, right in the heart of our office.
Makar Sankranti brought colour and creativity into the office with our kite-making activity. Teams got busy designing, cutting, and laughing over whose kite would fly highest.
For a while, it didn’t feel like an office at all; it felt like childhood had quietly walked back in.
“Patang vi rangin, te mood vi full high!”
No celebration at RCV is complete without movement and music. Traditional Punjabi beats led to energetic Giddha, where grace and rhythm stole the show.
And when the office-organized Zumba session kicked in, the energy shifted to full power mode. From first-timers to dance-floor regulars, everyone joined in.
At that moment, one line perfectly summed it up
“Jado saal di shuruaat hi itni dhamakedar ho, taan poora saal vi celebration mode chalda rehnda ae!”
We had just stepped into the New Year, and celebrating Lohri and Makar Sankranti so early in the year made it even more meaningful. It set the tone for the months ahead; positive, energetic, and full of togetherness.
