Installation: CS-Cart Google Tag Manager Pro

Steps to Install the add-on

CS-Cart’s Admin panel >> Add-ons >> Downloaded add-ons >> Settings >> Manual Installation >> Zip Upload >> Upload & Install

Note: Client will find the add-on in the format of .zip only.

Configuration: CS-Cart Google Tag Manager Pro

Google Tag Manager >> Settings >> Configure GTM ID, Header Script, Body Script, and Events

1. Access the Add-on Settings: From your CS-Cart Admin Panel, go to Add-ons → Downloaded Add-ons, and locate CS-Cart Google Tag Manager in the list of installed extensions.
2. Open the Configuration Panel: Go to Settings, located next to the General section, and add the required information as specified in the Rules Configuration panel.
3. Enable Key Features: Inside the settings panel, make sure to fill in all the required details, including GTM ID, Header Script, Body Script, and Events.

Rules Configuration:

1. GTM ID – Unique identifier for your GTM container.
2. Header Script – Script placed in the page header section.
3. Body Script – Script placed in the page body section.
4. Events – Track user actions and interactions effectively.

Note: Add the event as per the requirements.

How to Create Your GTM Container ID?

Getting started with Google Tag Manager is quick and simple. Just follow these steps:

Sign In to Google Tag Manager

Head over to Google Tag Manager and log in with your Google account.

Set Up Your Account

Click “Create Account.”
Enter your Account Name (usually your company or store name).
Choose your Country.

Create a Container

Give your container a name (most people use their website URL or app name).
Select the platform where you’ll use GTM:

Web (best choice for your CS-Cart store)
iOS
Android
Server

Hit“Create.”

Agree to Terms

Review Google’s Terms of Service and click “Yes” to continue.

Find Your GTM Container ID

Once created, you’ll land in your GTM workspace.
Your unique Container ID will appear at the top-right of the screen (or under the Admin section).
It looks like this: GTM-XXXXXXX

That’s it! Copy your GTM Container ID and paste it into your CS-Cart GTM Extension settings – no coding required.
